Grace Defeats Patel To Win Third Term As Yorktown Supervisor

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Yorktown voters gave Supervisor Michael Grace a third term on Tuesday.

Grace, a Republican defeated Councilman Vishnu Patel, a Democrat, 3,858 votes to 3,455 votes, 53 percent to 47 percent according to unofficial results from the Westchester County Board of Elections. .

In the race for town board, Republican incumbent Tom Diana was re-elected with 4,058 votes. 

Just two votes separate Republican Edward Lachterman and Democrat Ilan Gilbert. Lachterman leads 3,443 votes to 3,441 votes.

Democrat incumbent Susan Siegel trailed with 3,225 votes.

The race to replace Town Clerk Alice Roker is also a virtual dead heat. Democrat Diana Quast leads Republican Mary Capoccia by nine votes, 3,632 to 3,623.
