I was disgusted by the New York Republican State Committee political literature I received in the mail on October 26. It depicts a woman controlling the three Democratic candidates for Yorktown supervisor and town board, who are hanging on strings. It contains blatant lies to attempt to scare and manipulate voters. It was the most racist, misogynist, untruthful thing I have ever seen in Yorktown and an insult to the intelligence of voters. It's time to shed the pay-to-play, closed-door, ethically-challenged administration of Michael Grace. Our democracy means open government, where elected officials listen and carefully consider the opinions and wishes of ALL residents. On election day, I am voting for Ilan Gilbert, Vishnu Patel, Alice Roker and Aviah Cohen Pierson. I want to be part of a positive change for Yorktown.
