Contenders in the Common Council race will debate first, at 7 p.m. They are Democrat incumbents Kathleen Talbot and Vivian McKenzie, and newcomer Andre Rainey; and Republicans Brendan Fitzgerald, Tina Fischer, and Herbert Reyes.
Candidates for mayor will go toe-to-toe at 8 p.m. They are Republican incumbent Frank Catalina and Democrat Ken Martin.
The debate is being sponsored by Chase Media Group, parent company of PennySaver and Chase Press. It will be moderated by Bruce Apar, of Apar All-Media.
The center is at 4 Nelson Ave., in the Field Library building.
Doors open at 6 p.m. Members of the public can submit questions in writing at the debate site by 6:30 p.m., according to Apar.
Questions can also be submitted in advance through email and social media -- no later than Monday, Oct. 26 -- to Apar at bapar@me.com.
The debate is being produced by Apar and Mike Miner of MJM Television & Video Productions.
It will be streamed live online and also archived for later viewing online and on Peekskill cable TV, Apar said.
