YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Yorktown is looking for qualified candidates to fill a vacancy on its Zoning Board of Appeals within the next two weeks, according to Council member Nick Bianco.

The Zoning Board is made up of five members who are appointed by the Town Board for a five-year term. The administrative board uses discretionary power to vary the strict application of local zoning regulations in particular cases of difficulty or hardship. The Zoning Board also makes the final determination as to all questions involving interpretation of the zoning ordinance.

Regular meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m.

@gusjay1:, how silly of me. You are probably right.

gusjay1:

What a silly question. You should know there are no qualifications...it's who you know and who's you know what you've kissed. It's a popularity contest.

Francis T McVetty:

The article fails to mention the qualifications for this position. The 5 w's Brian, please.
