Katz, whose district includes parts of northern Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess, praised the bipartisan, piecemeal process in which the state Senate passed the Women's Equality Agenda.
"These eight bills are overwhelmingly supported by members on both sides of the aisle," Katz said. "We've seen that in the Senate, and women in New York shouldn't have to wait another year for these important reforms to pass. The Assembly Majority must bring these bills to the floor for a vote.
"Enough is enough," he said. "No more political games, no more omnibus bills that won't pass the Senate, and no more allowing women to be treated as second-class citizens. Let us do the people's work in the People's House."
The legislature has debated the Women's Equality Act since Gov. Andrew Cuomo introduced the bill in June of 2013.
