I was proud to be in the Assembly Chamber, as we passed several key pieces of legislation to help those in the developmentally disabled community as part of Legislative Disabilities Awareness Day.
During my time as Ranking Minority Member of the Assembly Committee on Mental Health, I have fought every day to improve the way our state helps those with developmental disabilities.
We have made great progress, but there is still much work to do. We have built bipartisan consensus on many of these issues, and we continue to grow the momentum.
I look forward to playing a part in this event again next year, when we all come together and support a community that truly needs our help.
