Elizabeth Hunter Moss Potts, 93, Retired From Caldor’s In Fairfield

SANDY HOOK, Conn. - Elizabeth (Betty) Hunter Moss Potts of Sandy Hook, formerly of Bridgeport, died Dec. 8. She was 93.

Potts was born in Gateshead, England, to James and Nora Moss. After her marriage she with her husband to the United States in 1947 and lived in Bridgeport and Shelton for many years before moving to Sandy Hook to live with their daughter. She retired from the toy department at Caldor's in Fairfield.

Potts is survived by her sons, Robert J. Potts (Karen) of Huntington and Ian C. Potts of Bridgeport; daughter, Helene E. Cote (Daniel) of Sandy Hook; daughter-in-law, Debbie Potts of Naugatuck; former daughter-in-law, Martha Potts of Fairfield; six grandchildren; and sister, Margaret (Peggy) Faulkner of Worcester, England. She was predeceased by her husband, Sid Potts; daughter, Margaret; son, Allan Potts; daughter-in-law, Michelle Smith Potts; and sister, Joyce Thomas.

There will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12  in Calvary St. George's Episcopal Church, 755 Clinton Ave., Bridgeport, with the Rev. Dr. David Norris, officiating. Interment will be private.
