Crompond Students Safe After Undisclosed Incident

YORKTOWN, N.Y.-- Yorktown School District administration is stressing that all children were safe at Crompond School on Manor St. in Yorktown Tuesday afternoon after an undisclosed incident.

The Daily Yorktown was notified that there had been a bomb threat at the school early Tuesday afternoon via a Facebook post. School officials did not confirm that there had been a threat, but said that "any and all situations must be taken seriously," and reiterated that all children in the school were safe and everything was under control.

"The appropriate authorities have been notified, and everything is okay," said Yorktown School's Media Manager Karli Wheeler.
