Hospital Scholarships Awarded To Area High School Graduates

NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital's auxiliary awarded five local high school students with scholarships for their academic achievements, display of character and level of commitment to study in the field of healthcare.

Three of the students were celebrated at a hospital ceremony by the Auxiliary’s Scholarship Committee.

Among those honored were Jhoely Duque, a Lakeland High School graduate who will study at Boston University; Jessie Zhanay, a Peekskill High School graduate who will study at NYU; and Danielle Merante, a graduate of Walter Panas High School who will study at Pace University.

Scholarship recipients who were not present for the above photo were: Camila Orellana, a Peekskill High School graduate who will study at SUNY Buffalo, and Nicole Mitchell, a Haldane High School graduate who will study at Colgate.
