Pages of the Lakeland Central School District calendar are filled with pages and artwork, and one such photo has won an award of excellence.
The photo, featured in the November 2010 page of the calendar, is titled “Birds of Prey,” and was taken by Director of Communications Jim Van Develde. The award was given by the New York State Public Relations Association Communications Awards competition.
“With more than 300 entries from throughout New York State, this year’s winners should feel especially proud of their awards which recognize excellence in school communications,” said Vicki Presser, NYSPRA President. “Entries were judged by a distinguished panel of professionals from around the country.”
The entries were rated on three levels of awards—excellence, honor and merit. Van Develde’s photo received the level of honor.
