YORKTOWN, N.Y. - The Lakeland Central School District and its transportation department helped welcome its newest students to the district Tuesday with the annual kindergarten bus orientation at the district's five elementary schools. Incoming kindergarten students at Lincoln-Titus, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, Benjamin Franklin and Van Cortlandtville all had the opportunity to take a bus ride before the first day of school next Wednesday. The students and their parents also visited their kindergarten classrooms and met their teachers.
