YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- The Lakeland Central School District will operate on a one-hour delay Wednesday morning following two days of closures.
School officials said there were still areas within the district lines with low-hanging branches and wires on certain streets, which buses cannot enter. In the event a parent believes there will be a problem reaching their child's normal bus stop, officials ask they call the Transportation Department at 914-528-4445. Officials said to call between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tuesday evening or after 5:30 a.m. Wednesday morning for information regarding alternative pickup locations.
