The leaders welcome new students and parents to the university.

Summer Welcome is the University of Missouri's advising, registration and orientation program for incoming freshmen and transfer students.

The Summer Welcome Leaders facilitate the program as hosts and share their own experiences with new students.

“The Summer Welcome Leaders are pivotal to the success of the program,” said David Rielley, senior coordinator of MU New Student Programs.

“They are entrusted with completing MU’s recruitment of new students as well as ensuring a successful start to the college careers of those students.”

A 2013 graduate of Yorktown High School, Frickmann is a daughter of Gail Frickmann. She currently is a junior majoring in international convergence journalism with a minor in peace studies.

In addition, she is involved in the emerging leaders program, a program that aims to build and develop students’ leadership skills, team-building abilities, leadership knowledge base and self-awareness.
