Yorktown Superintendent of Schools Dr. Ralph Napolitano took the oath of office Monday.

YORKTOWN, N.Y. – The leadership of the Yorktown Board of Education will remain the same for the next school year.

During a reorganizational meeting Monday night, Jackie Carbone was reelected board president and Karen Corrado vice president by their fellow board members. Carbone has been the board president since the 2007-08 school year.

Carbone and Corrado also serve together on the board's Steering Committee. In addition, Carbone is on the Audit Committee and Corrado is on the Policy Committee.

Oaths of office were also administered to Superintendent of Schools Dr. Ralph Napolitano and board Trustee Christine Montero, who was elected to a full term in May after serving the unexpired term of Mark Drexel following his departure in 2011.

Meanwhile, the board reappointed Rebecca Narvaez as district clerk, Kevin Liebertz as district treasurer and Joanne Odoardi as deputy treasurer.

Happy the school board remained the same. They are doing a superb job. I do not have children in the district but have two grandchildren attending the High School. Mr. Napolitano is the greatest man and is a fantastic leader, Keep up the good work.
