Yorktown Education Group Plans Casino Night, Dinner Dance

YORKTOWN, N.Y. – The Foundation for Excellence in Yorktown Education will honor members of the Yorktown Fire Department and several school resource officers at its Casino Night and Dinner Dance.

The dinner will be held Saturday, March 15, at the Doubletree Tarrytown. Tickets cost and can be purchased online at ffeyorktown.org. The event begins at 7 p.m.

The dinner will honor Yorktown Heights Engine Co. No. 1 Fire Chief Chet Swirski, Assistant Fire Chiefs Jay Swart and Paul Dillon, Yorktown High School Resource Officer Rob Doerr, Mildred E. Strang  Middle School Resource Officer Brian Mundy and DARE officer Richard Finn.

The dinner will include dinner, dancing, open bar, casino tables and a selection auction. There will also be a performance by the Yorktown High School Dance Company.

Yorktown schools has fundraiser in Tarrytown because you can't entertain lots of people at Costco or a pizza parlor. You know it's bad when the Yorktown Chamber of Commerce holds their awards dinner in Briarcliff Manor.
