McIntyre played trumpet in the YHS band, guitar in the jazz band and is currently a sophomore jazz guitar performance major at New York University. He is one of only 24 performers from across the world who is being honored as the “next generation of jazz greats.” These young aspiring musicians worked together, under the tutelage of current jazz greats, to present a series of free concerts April 1 and 3.
