YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- The Yorktown High School gym will be transformed into a 1940s nightclub -- and the community is invited to it.
It will take place Saturday.
The evening will begin at 7 p.m. with a one-hour swing dance lesson by a professional dance studio. There will be live music and dancing from 8-10:30 p.m.
The nightclub will be complete with a bandstand, dance floor, linen-clad tables and refreshments.
The YHS Concert Band, Jazz Band and Wind Ensemble will perform swing-era music. The evening will begin with lessons by some dancing professionals.
This has become an annual Yorktown tradition.
Light refreshments will be served, and swing-era attire is encouraged.
Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for nonband students and senior citizens.
Yorktown High School is at 2727 Crompond Road, Yorktown Heights. For more information, click here .
