Yorktown Votes Tuesday On School Budget, Board Members

The total proposed budget is nearly $97.5 million, which represents a .5 percent increase from 2014-15 and close to a 1 percent tax increase, according to a recent newsletter from the school district.

Two members of the Board of Education, Jackie Carbone and Christine Montero, are running unopposed to retain their seats. School board trustees serve three-year terms.

Voting will be from 7 a.m.-9 p.m. at Mohansic Elementary School, 704 Locksley Road, Yorktown Heights.
