YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – Community members are invited to participate in a blood drive Wednesday at Lakeland Copper Beech Middle School in Yorktown Heights.
The drive will be from 3:30-8 p.m. in the school cafeteria, according to a press release.
Donors must weigh at least 110 pounds, and should eat and drink sufficient amounts of food and beverages before giving blood.
Donors must be at least age 16, with parental permission, and be no more than 75 years old unless they have a doctor’s note giving permission for them to donate blood.
Parental permission for 16-year-old donors must be obtained by completing a form, which is available at the New York Blood Center website . The forms will also be available on-site Wednesday.
Lakeland Copper Beech Middle School is at 3401 Old Yorktown Road.
