Seritage, which owns the retailer, told the Yorktown Town Board at a June 13 meeting that it is considering moving Sears to the second floor, according to Citizens for an Informed Yorktown. The first-floor Sears would be turned into three separate spaces, including a 24-hour fitness center. Woman Charged With Stealing From JV Mall YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A Mahopac woman was charged with stealing from the Sears store at the Jefferson Valley Mall after she was caught with $60 worth of merchandise, according to the Yorktown Police. Susan Dowling, 66, was charged with petit larceny after police arrived at the store for a shoplifting compliant and found that she had attempted to walk out of mall without paying for the merchandise, police said.
