YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown High School has one of the most tradition-rich and successful varsity interscholastic programs in New York state.
But the Huskers have not had a male athlete commit to play a sport to one of the nation's most recognized college programs, Notre Dame, until now.
That commitment came when rising junior lacrosse defenseman Jose Boyer committed to the Fighting Irish last week.
