YORKTOWN, N.Y. – Friday is the deadline for freshmen athletes at Yorktown High School to hand in paperwork for the spring season.

Sports physicals will be held on Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the nurse’s office.  Practice for freshmen teams begins on Monday, March 20.

WESTCHESTER, N.Y. - The National Weather Service posted a thunderstorm warning for southern Westchester County at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday.

The storms could be accompanied by lightning, hail and high winds of up to 50 mph, the weather service said.

Bacteria ID'd As Cause Of Westchester Food Event Illnesses

VALHALLA, N.Y. – The bacteria that sickened some festival-goers who attended Westchester’s Burger and Beer Bash at Kensico Dam in Valhalla earlier this month has been identified as Campylobacter, the county department of health announced Monday.
