Former Yorktown Star Kuczma Leaving Putnam Valley Lacrosse Post

"I left solely based on a family decision," Kuczma said. "My son will be playing in the Wappingers program in a few years and I wanted help develop it to make sure he has the same opportunities in the future that I had at Yorktown."

Kuczma, an All-America defenseman at Yorktown High School before starring at Johns Hopkins University and the MLL, led Put Valley to numerous sectional final appearances and three Section 1 championships.

Kuczma, who will continue as a full-time teacher at Putnam Valley, is the head of the Section 1 lacrosse coaches association.
