Mahopac won with 167.375 points, while Lakeland/Panas/Putnam Valley placed second in team competition with 166.85. Wappingers was third with 163.85.
"It was a great team effort by our girls," Mahopac coach Vin Collins told Daily Voice. "The entire team came up big, and everyone contributed."
Mahopac's Callie Johanson and Olivia Frederick of Wappingers tied for the Section 1 title in the all-around, and Amanda Grigas of Lakeland/Panas/Putnam Valley took third.
Frederick and Johanson shared the Section 1 title in the uneven bars, and Frederick was the floor ex champion.
Johanson also won the balance beam title, and Caitlin Pellegrino of Lakeland/Panas/Putnam Valley was the vault champ.
The top three in all-around are on the state team that competes in the NYS championships March 4 at Cold Spring Harbor. The remainder of the squad is chosen by the Section 1 committee.
Competing at states will be Sydney Hughes of Mahopac, Zoe Markou of Wappingers, and Pellegrino of Lakeland/Panas on balance beam; Chloe Lee of Mahopac, Valia Gregory of New Rochelle and Jamison Castrataro of Mahopac on uneven bars; Jadyn Koss of Clarkstown, Jana Frattellone of Lakeland/Panas/Putnam Valley and Jessica Healey of Wappingers on floor ex; Cassie Traina of Mahopac, Lilliana Oliviero of Lakeland/Panas/Putnam Valley and Amber Vane of Brewster in vault.
