The men's lacrosse team picked up a 14-10 win against American International to improve to 2-4 on the season and 1-4 in the Northeast-10 conference.
For the Setters, senior William Scioscia led the way with six points, and junior Adam Mirkin finished with four goals and one assist. Seniors Matt Gebhardt and Ryan Valdez each scored two goals and two assists for Pace. In the net, senior Timothy Izzo played 60 minutes and recorded 11 saves.
The men's baseball team scored four runs in the first two innings and defeated the St. Thomas Aquinas Spartans 7-4 in nonconference action.
Sophomore Michael Viegas went 3-for-4, and senior James Pjura and junior Tom Midolo both had two RBIs. Sophomore Ryan Mihalkovitz improved to 1-1 on the season as he tossed five innings, allowed two runs on five hits and struck out two. Junior Josh Grant pitched a scoreless ninth to earn his first save of the season.
The women's softball team earned a win and a loss in a doubleheader split against the New Haven Chargers.
Junior Jeane Drury hit a pair of home runs in the opener to hand the New Haven Chargers their first division loss of the season, and Pace took the opener 7-4. The Chargers earned the split with a 3-0 win in the nightcap.
