Second-seeded Shrub Oak Moves Into Baseball Semis

SHRUB OAK, N.Y. -- Joseph Barker allowed a run on two hits as the second-seeded Shrub Oak Storm defeated seventh-seeded Carmel, 13-1 Wednesday in a Westchester-Putnam Baseball Association 13-and-under quarterfinal game at Lakeland High School.

Shrub Oak will play the other Shrub Oak team, seeded sixth, in the semis Thursday. The sixth-seeded Shrub Oak Storm defeated third-seeded New Castle, 4-3. Dom Delllicurti had a hit, drove in a run and scored two runs for the second seed. Keir Maley also had a hit and scored two runs. Shrub Oak erupted for five runs in the first inning. The No. 2 Storm finished with seven hits.
