Yorktown Black Prevails in YAC Lacrosse Battle

YORKTOWN, N.Y. – Team Black scored a late goal Thursday night to edge Team White 3-2 in a Yorktown Athletic Club battle of fifth-sixth division grade squads at a misty and chilly Woodlands Legacy Field.

Justin Comerford's goal in the fourth quarter snapped a 2-2 tie to lift Team Black to a 2-1 record in early-season play. Team White, winner of its first two games of the season, fell to 2-1.

Cian Keohane scored twice for Team White in the first quarter to help for a 2-1 lead going to intermission. Michael Broder scored Black's first goal in the first quarter.

Team Black goalie Daniel O'Meara was a standout in goal as was Ream White goaltender Jack Capuano.
