YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Dave Marr, the head coach of the Yorktown High School varsity boys lacrosse team, has been suspended by the school for the 2017 season after being ejected from the Huskers' 9-6 state-title game loss on June 11 to Jamesville-DeWitt.
Marr, a former star player at Yorktown ad Johns Hopkins University, may re-apply for his position after 2017. He led the Huskers to two state titles in his 14 years as head coach.
His position as an eighth-grade teacher in the Yorktown Central School District is not affected by the suspension.
