Yorktown Kickball Tournament Fights Cancer With Fun

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Do you love to play a good game of kickball with family and friends?

A kickball tournament scheduled for Sept. 28 will raise money for the American Cancer Society.

What about helping raise money for the American Cancer Society?

Well, you can do both of those things at the same time by participating in the "Bringing a Cure Home Kickball Tournament."

The event is at 10 a.m. Sept. 28 (rain date is Sept. 29) at the Yorktown Fire House Field, 1916 Commerce St. The fee per team is $150 for 10 players. For every additional player, teams will need to donate an additional $15

All teams must meet the following requirements in order to participate:

1. All members on the team must be 18 years old by Dec. 31, 2013. 2. Each team must have a minimum of 10 players and a maximum of 15 players. 3.Teams have the option to pay a $50 deposit fee to secure their spot. Deposits must be made by Sept. 1. Deposits will not be refunded if your team backs out. Spots are limited. 4. Everybody must come with a positive, outgoing and team-friendly attitude.

Even if you aren't interested in playing kickball, come on by with your family and friends and support the cause.
