Yorkville Sports Association Hosts Wiffathon Tourney To Benefit Fire Dept.

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- The Yorkville Sports Association’s (“YSA Leagues”) will host its second annual summer Wiffathon Tournament at the Yorktown Heights Fire Department Field on Saturday, July 19. 

Teams of all ages will square off for a cash prize and trophies.

The tournament will have a round-robin format with teams guaranteed at least three games and a T-shirt. A home run derby will also take place between games. 

Team registration costs $120. Team registration is open and available online here. 

The event is free and open to the public. Check-in starts at 9 a.m. 

Food and refreshments will be available for purchase by the Yorktown Heights Fire Department.

A portion of all proceeds will benefit the Yorktown Heights Fire Department. 

“The phrase 'fun for all ages' is synonymous with Wiffle ball. The Wiffathon Tournament will be a blast while also benefiting a vital community service,” says Al Morales, president of YSA Leagues.
