A dart team captain from Westchester is being remembered for his love of music and his devotion to his family.
Mamaroneck resident John Flynn died on Wednesday, July 5 at the age of 49, according to his obituary.
A loving husband to Elsalee Jay, Flynn was dedicated to both his wife and daughter, Abigail, who he shared a deep passion for music with.

A beloved Hudson Valley teacher has died after a battle with a brain tumor.
Orange County resident Sue Giza, age 52, of Middletown, a 10th-grade math teacher Monroe-Woodbury High School in Central Valley, died on Monday, May 24.
"During her time at Monroe-Woodbury, she inspired many young people and was a kind and supportive colleague. She will forever be missed," the school district said.

Covid-19: Noted Sports Photographer Anthony Causi, Pace University Grad, Dies At 48
Anthony Causi, a prominent and popular sports photographer, died from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
Causi, a Pace University graduate who worked for the New York Post, died on Sunday, April 12 at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, the paper announced. He was 48.
A Brooklyn native, Causi joined The Post in 1994, working his way up from a photo messenger to a full-time photojournalist. During his career, he covered the Yankees, Mets, Giants, Jets, Knicks, Rangers and more for The Post.
Causi was remembered by Yankee legend Derek Jeter on social media.

Funeral Set For Michael Whalen, 48, Westchester Management Association VP
Funeral services have been scheduled for Local Union #3 Business Representative Michael Whalen who died at age 48 after a long illness and surrounded by his family.
There will be a mass of Christian burial on Saturday, May 19 at St. Mary’s Church in Katonah at 11 a.m. Arrangements are being handled by Clark Associates Funeral Home in Katonah.
Michael is survived by his wife and two daughters, Kyla, 15, and Chloe, 13; his brothers, Keith of Katonah and Ryan (Gillian); nephew, Jack; and his mother and father.
