Several early morning crashes on the Taconic State Parkway in Putnam Valley have been cleared, but traffic is moving slowly at 9:15 a.m., according to the New York State Police.
The first crash occurred around 7 a.m. south of Peekskill Hollow Road between two vehicles, said Trooper AJ Hicks.
Following the first, there were two more crashes related to the stop-and-go traffic and one disabled vehicle that blocked a lane until it could be moved, he added.
"The accidents were not related to ice or weather conditions," Hicks said. "The trooper on the scene is reporting that driver error caused the events."
The New York State Department of Transportation is reporting most delays have been resolved.
