Flooding Closes Saw Mill, Bronx River Parkway; Crash Ties Up Hutch Traffic

Stretches of both the Saw Mill and Bronx River parkways were closed in both directions Saturday as a result of flooding from the early morning thunderstorms that moved through the area.

The Saw Mill closure was southbound in Mount Pleasant between Manville Road (Exit 29) and Marble Avenue (Exit 27) and northbound between Marble Avenue (Exit 27) and Grant Street. The roadway opened around 1 p.m.

The Bronx River Parkway is closed both ways between Main Street (Exit 21) in White Plains and the Westchester County Center.

There were earlier stop-and-go delays on the southbound Hutchinson River Parkway following a crash at North Street (Route 127/Exit 25) in Harrison reported just before 11 a.m.
