I-287 Lanes Will Be Closed For Roadwork

Drainage work will prompt the closure of up to three northbound lanes of the New York State Thruway (I-87/I-287) from exit 8A (Elmsford - NY Route 119 - Saw Mill River Parkway North) to the Tappan Zee Bridge between Thursday and Friday nights.

As part of the overnight work on the 18, State Police will stop and hold all northbound traffic approaching the bridge for a period of approximately 20 minutes between midnight and 5 a.m. 

Closures will begin with one left lane starting at 8 p.m. a second left land will be closed at 9 p.m. The third lane will close at 11:59 p.m. with all lanes reopening at 5 a.m.

Closures will begin at the same times on Friday night with lanes opening at 6 a.m. on Saturday.

All southbound lanes will remain open at all times during the operation.
