Some snow has melted and with temperatures expected to fall below freezing across the entire region, the residual moisture will refreeze.

As a result, black ice is expected Sunday night into Monday morning throughout the tristate region.

The patches of black ice will create slippery conditions on surfaces when driving. Motorists are urged to use extra caution and travel more slowly.
