Storm Heading Up Coast Will Bring Drenching Rain To Yorktown

A coastal storm moving up from the southeast U.S. toward the area will bring with it drenching rain that will arrive late Monday and last until early Wednesday.

Rain is expected to arrive after 11 p.m. Monday night. The overnight low will be in the mid-40s.

Tuesday morning will be rainy and cool with a high temperature hovering around 50 degrees.

Rain is expected to become heavy late in the afternoon Tuesday, with the rain continuing through Tuesday evening.

Rain is likely to linger Wednesday before noon, followed by a chance of light rain in the afternoon. Otherwise it will be cloudy, with a high in the low-60s.

The sun returns Thursday, and the temperature will also climb with a high expected to hit 70 degrees.

Friday is expected to be partly sunny, with a high in the low 70s.

Saturday and Sunday are both expected to be sunny, with highs in the 70s.
