Chimney Fire Prompts Emergency Response At Northern Westchester High School
Firefighters raced to a high school in Northern Westchester after receiving reports of a chimney fire. The incident happened on Monday morning, April 8, when crews from the Millwood Fire Department responded to a reported chimney fire at Fox Lane High School in Bedford. According to the department, arriving crews soon discovered that the affected chimney was clogged and quickly worked to unclog it and return the situation to safety. No injuries were reported.

A 19-year-old from the Hudson Valley was jailed after he was caught with a ghost gun during a traffic stop in Northern Westchester, police said. The arrest resulted from an incident on Sunday, April 7 just after 2 a.m., when a Yorktown Police officer saw a vehicle traveling on Bargar Street with a missing headlight and pulled it over at 3700 Bargar St. near the Mobil gas station. Two men were apprehended following a fight at a Westchester intersection that happened during the partial solar eclipse, police said. The incident happened on Monday, April 8 around 2:45 p.m., when a dispute began between two men in the area of Lincoln Avenue and Fifth Avenue in Pelham, according to the village's police department.
