Italian Festival Takes Over Yorktown's Commerce Street

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Yorktown hosted the San Gennaro Festival Sept. 17-20 drawing many locals and visitors to Commerce Street for the Italian festivities.

A highlight Thursday was the opening procession with the statue of St. Gennaro carried to a stage. A choir also performed during the ceremony.

A disc jockey provided entertainment in between live musical performances throughout the four-day feast. Food stands with a variety of authentic Italian fare and rides wee also featured.
