Learn Arm-Balancing At Yoga Teachers Association Workshop In Briarcliff

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- The Yoga Teachers Association of the Hudson Valley will host “The Shoulder Girdle: An Anatomical Understanding to Arm Balancing” on Saturday, March 12, at the Yoga Studio at Club Fit in Briarcliff Manor.

The workshop will be led by well-known Westchester yoga teacher Laurice Nemetz, founder and owner of Wellness Bridge.

Nemetz will explore ways to strengthen the shoulder with evenness and how to increase range of motion in areas of restriction. The workshop will be a mix of learning through exploration, partner work and asana practice.

Nemetz is a certified and registered experienced-level yoga teacher, a member of the Academy of Dance/Movement Therapists Registered and a licensed creative arts therapist. She is a past president of the Yoga Teachers Association and is also an adjunct professor at Pace University.

A well-known teacher in Westchester and beyond, Nemetz has taught at Club Fit, Pace University and the Westchester Conservatory of Music, among other settings, and teaches workshops worldwide. Find out more at

The cost for the workshop is $45 for YTA members and $65 for nonmembers who register at in advance; it's $55 and $75 at the door. Preregistration is requested. Register at
