Local Girl and Boy Scouts, 4-H, Lions Club, the Croton Falls Fire Department and American Legion Post 1866 will march in the parade, as will various local elected officials. The North Salem Volunteer Ambulance Corps and local youth sports leagues often march as well.

North Salem High School's marching band will provide the music.

The parade starts at Oak Ridge Road and Route 116 at around 10 a.m. Marchers will proceed to Route 22 and the Westchester Exceptional Children's School over the course of a half hour.

The school will host a ceremony with a speech by Herb Geller, World War II veteran, senior member and leader of Post 1866 .

The parade is sponsored by American Legion Post 1866 with support from the Town of North Salem and the Lions Club.

Supervisor Warren Lucas will also give a speech. Local clergy will provide benedictions.

A roster of North Salem residents who died in military service will be read.

The ball field opposite The Fish and the Farmer will have free hot dogs and soda after the ceremony.
