YORKTOWN, N.Y. – Jacob Wassey of Yorktown Troop 267 was presented with New York State Senate Proclamations from State Sen. Greg Ball (R,C,I-Patterson) for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, a press release announced.
“There are a very small percentage of scouts that ever make it to the Eagle Scout ranking and I would like to congratulate Jacob for all his hard work to achieve this prestigious ranking,” said Ball in a statement.
Eagle Scout is the highest possible rank in the Boy Scouts of America. Jacob’s Eagle Scout project included repairs to a trail and raised walkways that had been inadequate for walking, the press release said.
“It was a great honor for me to meet Jacob and learn about his project of trail repair and for the community in Peekskill. I look forward to great things from Jacob in the future," Ball said in a statement.
