The labyrinth will be a single path with one entrance and exit that will be walked as part of a spiritual practice.

The Hudson River Presbytery gave a grant to First Presbyterian Church of Yorktown for the construction of the labyrinth.

Certified labyrinth facilitator Lynn Brown will lay out the Chartres-style seven-circuit labyrinth.

Boy Scout troop 165 will build a box to hold a guestbook.

Plans are underway to dedicate the labyrinth this fall.

The effort is part of the church's process for GreenFaith certification, which recognizes religious organizations that demonstrate commitment to environmental stewardship.
