Ground Zero Responder's Funeral Will Cause Central Avenue Traffic Delays

HARTSDALE, N.Y. -- First responders from throughout the New York Metropolitan Area will be coming out Wednesday to pay tribute to Robert Mentrasti, a Hartsdale firefighter and Ground Zero first responder who died Friday.

Greenburgh Supervisor Paul Feiner said motorists should avoid Central Avenue Wednesday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. near the four corners in Hartsdale. Significant traffic problems are anticipated, Feiner said.

Mentrasti's funeral will be held at Sacred Heart Church at 9:45 a.m. in Hartsdale.
