National Group Still Looking For Missing Montrose Man, 31

MONTROSE, N.Y. -- A national organization that highlights cold missing persons cases has again released details about a 31-year-old man who went missing in Montrose more than 30 years ago.

Richard Gerald Bayne was 5-feet-6-inches tall and weighed about 170 pounds when he went missing from the Veteran's Administration hospital on May 24, 1984, according to the National Missing & Unidentified Persons System, which said he was not reported missing until January of the following year.

According to the organization, no one has heard from or seen Bayne since his disappearance.

Bayne, who has brown hair, blue/hazel eyes and scars on his left arm and a left-hand finger, was last seen wearing a white checkered shirt and blue jeans, according to The Charley Project, which said he was balding at the time of his disappearance.
