Troubled former NBA player and Mount Vernon resident Ben Gordon is once again making headlines for the wrong reasons after reportedly being arrested for felony robbery in Los Angeles.

Gordon, 34, was arrested in California on Monday afternoon, according to TMZ Sports , after allegedly assaulting a man in an apartment building and walking out with thousands of dollars in cash.

According to the report, the former Mount Vernon High School basketball standout went to his former apartment complex to collect a security deposit, which led to the altercation. Gordon allegedly then grabbed the man and threatened him.

The report says that Gordon walked away with some of his deposit, but returned to the building after the man called police and was he was subsequently arrested for felony robbery. He’s since been released on $50,000 bail.

This is just the latest run-in with the law for Goron. In June he was arrested for allegedly pulling fire alarms when there was no fire at his Los Angeles apartment complex, and last month, he was hospitalized following a bizarre incident with a woman at his Mount Vernon business when he barricaded himself in a back room. Last week, he was cited for driving with forged license plates.

The former Mount Vernon High School basketball standout has won the Sixth Man of the Year award in the NBA and played for several teams in the league, last with the Orlando Magic in 2015.
