Services Scheduled For Mahopac Teen Killed By Car

MAHOPAC, N.Y. -- Services are scheduled for Tuesday for 14-year-old Michael J. Bongiovanni Jr., who died Saturday after he was hit by a car while skateboarding five days earlier, according to lohud.com

There will be a wake Tuesday from 1-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. at Yorktown Funeral Home, 945 E. Main St., Shrub Oak. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. James Church in Springfield, N.J., with visitation one hour before Mass, according to lohud.com.

Bongiovanni went to Westchester Medical Center on June 6 after being hit by a car at Brookside Road and Kia Ora Boulevard, where police believe he rode through a stop sign and was hit, according to lohud.com.
