YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Solaris Sports Club will host a free home and health expo on Saturday, April 18, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the club at 201 Veterans Road.
The health and home expo will feature tips on healthy living, green living and home improvements. Attendees will receive answers to their health and fitness questions with a complimentary body fat analysis from Solaris Sports Club and improve their well-being and quality of life with a visit to Rifkin Dental for an oral cancer screening.
Throughout the day interactive workshops and demonstrations will be held from the best in the community in cooking, exercise and home improvements.
In addition to all of the complimentary classes throughout the day, there will be tips on how to improve your home with current renovation trends as well as energy-saving ideas. Denise Giordano, associate real estate broker of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, will lead a workshop at 11:30 a.m., discussing the stress-free guide to preparing your home to sell quickly and for top dollar. Attendees can bring a photo and description of their home and learn the current market value.
There will be an interactive workshop on solar energy at 1 p.m., and attendees will learn how solar energy can make a difference in their lives as well as their wallets. Following the solar energy demonstration, Melissa Berardis from Wildtree will lead a demo at 2 p.m. on how to cook healthy meals.
In addition to the demos and workshops, there will be complimentary raffle drawings throughout the day. Free glitter tattoos will be available for kids at Events to Remember’s table. Attendees can finish off the day by treating themselves to a massage and spa treatment from Lespri Spa Services LLC.
Solaris Sports Club will award a free, one-month membership with a personal training session, tennis lesson and one special class.
Giordano will also raffle off a $75 gift certificate to The Chophouse Grille in Mahopac, as well as a home basket valued at $75.
