YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – Support Connection has announced plans to hold a belly dance program next month aimed at women living with breast, ovarian and gynecological cancer.
The program, titled “So You Think You Can Belly Dance!,” is set to take place at the Yorktown Jewish Center on Thursday, March 19, from 6:30-8 p.m.
It's intended to get cancer patients out of their so-called "cancer zone" for an evening and help them relax, let go and have a good time. No experience whatsoever is necessary.
Instructor Sarah Bell is not only someone with 25 years of experience in belly dancing and Middle Eastern dancing, but she's also got a background in ballet and jazz.
The Jewish Center is at 2966 Crompond Road.
Preregistration is required and can be done by calling Support Connection at 914-962-6402 or 800-532-4290.
