The program is a partnership between area high schools and the hospital, and allows students to experience life as a nurse for seven weeks each summer. From observing deliveries in maternity to working with Alzheimer’s patients, students got real life nursing experience during clinical rotations in several hospital departments.

Highly competitive, the program is designed to provide valuable educational, behavioral, and clinical opportunities for high school and nursing students through clubs, community outreach, and apprenticeships. Since the program's inception 10 years ago, it has graduated 103 students, many who have gone on to become nurses at White Plains Hospital.
