MONTROSE, N.Y -- A stretch of Route 9 on the Buchanan-Peekskill border just south of Route 6/202 was closed for several hours Monday evening after a head-on accident.
The crash occurred on the northbound side between Montrose Station Road and Welcher Avenue and reportedly involved a wrong-way driver.
The driver, who was being pursued in a police chase, drove the wrong way before having a head-on collision, according to authorities.
